The endless rope winch is driven by the endless rope traction winch. Friction between the wire rope and the driving wheel drives the wire rope to move, so that the wire rope traction trolley runs back and forth along the track.

After the traction wire rope passes around the friction wheel, one end is fixed to the shuttle car. The other end of the wire rope goes around the tensioning device, then passes around the tail wheel and is also fixed to the shuttle car. After both ends of the wire rope are secured, the tensioning device tensions the wire rope to maintain a certain initial tension. The motor is then started to rotate the driving drum, which drives the friction wheel of the traction winch. This makes the endless rope and the shuttle car attached to the wire rope reciprocate, pulling the transport vehicles.

The shuttle car is used to fix both ends of the traction wire rope. Instead of circulating, the wire rope moves back and forth. The transportation distance can be adjusted by the rope storage drum fitted on the shuttle car.

Application Conditions of Endless Rope Winch

1. The endless rope winch operates on tracks laid on the floor. Its operation is independent of roadway roof and support type, and it is generally applicable to all track transport roadways.
2. It can be used for auxiliary transportation under conditions of long distance, heavy load, variable slopes and large inclination angles.
3. The quality of the mine shared track shall meet the requirements for transporting large equipment.
4. The overall track shall be straight and level, avoiding uneven rails. The sleeper spacing shall be between 500 mm and 600 mm.
5. For slopes, the vertical curve radius shall be ≥15 m.
6. The minimum horizontal curve radius at horizontal corners shall be ≥9 m.
7. The roadway (chamber) width at the traction winch installation position is generally 3 ~ 4 m; roadway widening is required under special circumstances.

The endless rope winch requires a fully matched complete system considering transport distance, equipment dimension and speed regulation mode. This system mainly consists of roadway conditions, track performance, supporting equipment and auxiliary facilities.
