Maintenance Tips for Endless Rope Continuous Hauler

The development of China’s mining industry has promoted the upgrading of mining production equipment. The endless rope continuous hauler is track-mounted transportation equipment used underground in coal mines and metal mines. It can transport both heavy and light integral hydraulic supports and mining equipment. Compared with small winches, it offers easier operation and higher efficiency. However, faults may occur after long-term operation. Regular inspection and maintenance are required for risk prevention. What are the maintenance practices?

All maintenance work on the endless rope continuous hauler must be carried out when the machine is shut down. Before operation, inspect the wear of wheel liners. Replacement must be done immediately once wear reaches the fastening bolts. Grease shall be used for bearing lubrication and refilled regularly, no less than once per month. New winches shall undergo mandatory cleaning after 5 to 6 days of operation. If bearings overheat abnormally above 70℃, stop the machine for inspection right away. Check the wear of all components and repair or replace severely worn parts promptly.

Frequently check the oil level of the reducer and gearbox. When oil is insufficient, replenish oil of the same brand and type at any time. For new winches, replace the oil after one month of operation, and thereafter every 3 to 6 months. For open large and small gears, add engine oil or grease through the gear cover to maintain gear lubrication. For hydraulic thruster brakes, regularly inspect the wear of moving brake shoes and replace them in a timely manner when necessary.
